RecWeek 2025: A Yearly Tradition at Ateneo
Every school year at Ateneo begins with one of the most anticipated events for students: RecWeek. It is the time when the university’s organizations open their doors to new members, and the Loyola Schools come alive with booths, performances, and countless opportunities for students to discover where they belong. For Atenean Car Enthusiasts (ACE), RecWeek has always been a yearly tradition and a chance to welcome the next generation of car lovers into our community.

Since its founding in 2006, ACE has been a fixture at RecWeek, bringing Ateneo students closer to the world of cars. Through the years, our booth has showcased car memorabilia, racing gear, and driving simulators that give students a true taste of automotive culture. For RecWeek 2025, we elevated the experience with two racing simulators, provided by Apex Racing Philippines, outfitted with the Moza R5 system and Next Level Racing cockpits.
To make the experience even better, we also had air-conditioning units provided by Klima Optima, ensuring the booth remained comfortable for both players and visitors throughout the week.
All week long, students lined up to get behind the wheel, taking on legendary tracks such as Tsukuba Circuit, Batangas Racing Circuit, and Monza International Autodrome. With a variety of cars to choose from, the simulators delivered an immersive experience that brought the thrill of motorsport straight to Colayco Pavilion.
More Than Just a Booth
But RecWeek has always been more than just games and displays for ACE. It is about community. Each year, alumni drop by the booth, reliving their days as students and sharing stories with the next generation. It is a celebratory moment where past and present come together, and sometimes, even hints of something bigger on the horizon are shared.
RecWeek reminds us why ACE exists: to create a space where passion for cars builds real connections. Whether you are a seasoned enthusiast or just starting to take interest, ACE welcomes everyone who shares this love.
